Our Story
Northeast Nook was born out of a shared devotion to the places we call home. Founded by Anshuman Borkakoti a software engineer who returned to his roots and Dr. Angshumi Goswami a tourism scholar who dedicated her doctoral research to the region, our story began on a trail in Meghalaya—bound by a deep love for the hills, cultures, and untamed beauty of Northeast India.
We created Northeast Nook because we believed travel should never feel mass-produced. The Seven Sisters are not places to be rushed through or checked off a list; they are living landscapes rich in wildlife, vibrant traditions, and culinary heritage that deserve to be experienced deeply, thoughtfully, and with absolute respect.
