Morning: Depart from Guwahati
Start your journey from Guwahati by a van or a hired cab that suits your comfort. Enjoy scenic countryside views along the way.
After an hour's drive, stop at Jagiroad for a delicious meal of breakfast and a hot cup of chai before heading out. After another hour of travel, you will reach Ranthali, a little village in the Nagaon district which is famed for its traditional jewellery-making practices.
Noon: Introduction to Ranthali
On arrival, you shall be greeted by the locals. Find yourself a comfortable spot as you shall be introduced to the soul craft of this village. Learn about the history of Assamese jewellery and its significance in Assamese culture. The local women will serve you tea with some traditional Assamese snacks (pitha and laru) after which you shall start your return journey to Guwahati.
