Day 1: Dibrugarh to Jorhat via Sivasagar Begin your journey from Dibrugarh and drive to Jorhat, stopping en route at Sivasagar, the historical capital of the Ahom Kingdom. Explore the Rang Ghar, Asia’s oldest amphitheater, the Talatal Ghar, and the majestic Sivadol Temple, dedicated to Lord Shiva. Learn about the region's rich history and enjoy scenic views of ancient water tanks like Joysagar. Proceed to Jorhat, a town known for its tea estates and cultural significance. Spend the evening exploring local markets or visiting a nearby tea garden. Stay overnight in a heritage tea bungalow or comfortable hotel.


Day 2: Majuli Depart from Jorhat in the morning and take a ferry ride across the Brahmaputra River to Majuli, the world’s largest river island. Immerse yourself in the tranquility of the island, which is a hub for Assam’s neo-Vaishnavite culture. Visit Satras (Vaishnavite monasteries) like Auniati Satra and Kamalabari Satra to witness their unique traditions, dances, and art forms. Spend the evening enjoying local cuisine and interacting with the island’s communities. Stay overnight in a traditional bamboo hut or eco-camp.


Day 3: Majuli Continue exploring the island by visiting local artisan villages like Samaguri Satra, renowned for making traditional masks used in religious dramas. Visit the Mishing tribal villages to observe their unique stilt houses and weaving techniques. Relax by the banks of the Brahmaputra, watching the serene sunset over the river. If time permits, take a short boat ride to explore nearby wetlands that attract migratory birds. Enjoy a cultural evening with local music and dance performances before retiring for the night.


Day 4: Kaziranga National Park Leave Majuli in the morning and drive to Kaziranga National Park, a UNESCO World Heritage Site (approx. 4-5 hours). Upon arrival, check into a lodge or resort near the park. In the afternoon, take a jeep safari to explore the park’s Western Range, known for sightings of the one-horned rhinoceros, elephants, wild water buffaloes, and swamp deer. Enjoy the lush greenery and the diverse wildlife that thrives in the floodplains of the Brahmaputra. End your day with a traditional Assamese dinner at your lodge.


Day 5: Kaziranga to Guwahati Start the day with an early morning elephant safari to explore the Central Range of Kaziranga, offering a closer look at its wildlife and unique grasslands. After breakfast, visit the nearby Kaziranga Orchid and Biodiversity Park, which showcases Assam’s floral diversity and offers cultural performances. Depart for Guwahati (approx. 5-6 hours), arriving in the evening. Check into your hotel and relax or take a stroll along the Brahmaputra Riverfront.


Day 6: Pobitora Wildlife Sanctuary/Sualkuchi/Chandubi Lake Day Tour Choose among three unique experiences for a memorable day trip:

  1. Pobitora Wildlife Sanctuary: Located just 1.5 hours from Guwahati, this sanctuary is a haven for one-horned rhinos and birdwatching. Take a jeep safari to explore its rich biodiversity.

  2. Sualkuchi: Known as the "Manchester of Assam," this silk weaving village is famous for its production of Assam silk, including Muga and Eri silk. Visit weaving workshops to observe artisans at work and shop for traditional silk garments.

  3. Chandubi Lake: A tranquil natural lake surrounded by forests and hills, perfect for a relaxing day. Enjoy boating, birdwatching, and interacting with the local Rabha community. Return to Guwahati in the evening for your overnight stay.


Day 7: Departure Conclude your tour with a relaxed morning in Guwahati. Visit the iconic Kamakhya Temple, one of India’s most revered Shakti Peethas, or explore local markets like Fancy Bazaar for souvenirs. Depending on your departure time, enjoy a scenic cruise on the Brahmaputra River before heading to the airport or railway station.
