Day 1: Arrival at Dibrugarh (visit to a tea garden and related activities)

On arrival in Dibrugarh, after breakfast, proceed to visit the Mancotta tea estate. Walk through the tea garden and take a guided tour to learn about tea processing and try tea plucking. Have a tea-tasting session. Visit the Singpho Eco Lodge for lunch and Singpho tea, which is famous for its traditional manufacturing and brewing methods. Later, you shall be transferred to your eco-camp near Dibru-Saikhowa for the night. 

Day 2: Dibru-Saikhowa National Park 

This morning, embark on a thrilling boat safari or a nature trek through this unique riverine forest. Spot rare wildlife like feral horses, river dolphins, and migratory birds. Enjoy a packed lunch amidst nature or at a riverside picnic spot. Later, you shall explore the nearby Maguri Beel wetlands, a treasure trove for birdwatchers. Enjoy watching different species of birds in the wetlands and enjoy the tranquil surroundings. Overnight stay at Eco-Camp.

Day 3: Off to Dehing Patkai National Park

Head to Dehing Patkai National Park (approx. 2-hour drive). The park is a deciduous rainforest with semi-evergreen and lush green flora and is a biodiversity hotspot. Go for a guided hike to explore its rich flora and fauna, including orchids and hornbills with our experienced guides. You can expect various species of primates, birds and reptiles alongwith scores of butterflies. After the hike, check in at a nearby homestay and spend the night amidst wilderness. 

Day 4: Tipam Phake/ Namphake to Dibrugarh

On the last day, start your journey from Dehing Patkai National Park towards Tipam Phake and Namphake village, a Buddhist village inhabited by Tai Phake community. Visit Tipam Phake Village to experience the unique culture of this community. Interact with locals, explore traditional stilt houses, and visit the beautiful Namphake Buddhist Monastery. This monastery follows Theravada Buddhism and is similar to the ones in Sri Lanka or South East Asia. After spending an hour or so in the monastery, visit a local, learn about their traditional weaving techniques, and indulge in a cup of homemade rice wine. Treat yourself to a traditional homemade meal and later, head straight to Dibrugarh as this marks the end of the tour.  


Best Time to Visit:

  • October to April for pleasant weather, blooming tea gardens, and ideal wildlife sightings.

  • Avoid the monsoon (June to September) due to heavy rainfall.

This itinerary balances nature, culture, and relaxation while showcasing the charm of Northeast India.
